Spider Solitaire: how a round works
Choose a round of Spider Solitaire and settle into its rules. Complete eight same-suit king-to-ace runs. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls. Choose a comfortable screen position before beginning. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions.
Two decks, one/two/four suits; fill every column before a ten-card stock deal. Free solo play, no wagering.
Practice beyond the first move
Read one step at a time and try it on the playing area. Match the instruction to the control you use. Notice the feedback after each input.
What the game asks you to do
Complete eight same-suit king-to-ace runs. The feedback beside the game helps you follow the round. Follow this game’s rules rather than another version’s.
From the start of a round
- Build down by rank. Only descending same-suit groups move together. Empty columns accept any movable group.
- Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
- Use foundations where available; full Spider or Scorpion runs clear automatically.
- Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.
Making selections and moves
Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. Read a button’s label before selecting it. Contact us with the game and device if a control does not respond.
Work through an example
A mixed-suit descending stack cannot move as one group. Your next round may have a different position, so inspect it before acting. Keep the game’s format in mind.
Keep this in mind
Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Check the rule before repeating the action. Watch the feedback after an action. A message can explain whether the input was accepted or whether a rule needs attention.
